Lulu Group donates AED2mn to the ‘Reading Nation’ campaign

UAE-based retail conglomerate, the Lulu Group has donated AED2 million towards the ‘Reading Nation’ campaign launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai, in the holy month of Ramadan to spread knowledge around the world.

The cheque was handed over to Tariq Al Gurg, CEO, Dubai Cares by Lulu Group chairman Yusuffali MA.

“This is a great humanitarian initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the holy month of Ramadan, that will surely help build our future generation, nurturing their mind and soul,” says Yusuffali.

“I feel proud and honoured to associate with the Reading Nation project, which will have a global impact in spreading knowledge to lesser privileged children around the world. We at the Lulu Group have always supported various humanitarian and charitable initiatives launched by the visionary leaders of this great country, and I take this opportunity to urge all businessmen and expatriates to come forward and support the Reading Nation campaign whole-heartedly.”
