Lulu opens new hypermarket in Sharjah’s Bu Tina

Leading retailer LuLu Group further strengthened its presence in the Emirate of Sharjah with the grand opening of another world-class hypermarket. Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, officially inaugurated brand-new LuLu Hypermarket located at Bu Tina area of Sharjah, in the presence of Saifee Rupawala, CEO, Ashraf Ali MA, Executive Director, Salim MA, Director and other senior officials. 

 The new Hypermarket which is also Lulu Group’s 18th in Sharjah emirate & 232nd globally is strategically located at Bu Tina to cater the general public’s essential shopping needs. The sprawling 165,000 square feet three level hypermarket has been designed using the latest retail space concepts and most modern technology for ease of shopping and will serve the residents of Bu Tina and its nearby areas.

 Categories in the new hypermarket include grocery, fresh food, meat and fish, bakery, dairy, pizza and snacks, hot food, roastery, and a delicatessen, fashion, health and beauty variety, household needs, garments, footwear, electronics, home appliances, and much more. The Hypermarket also hosts Pharmacy, Money Exchange, Mobile shop, Studio, Perfumes among others.

AI-Powered Food Delivery Robots

Another innovate feature in the newly opened Hypermarket’s hot food section is the world’s first AI powered Food delivery Robot. Developed by US-based Purple Cloud, this innovation will further make the service more efficient and safe.

On the occasion, Saifee Rupawala, CEO of LuLu Group, expressed his happiness at the opening of the Hypermarket, saying the occasion was a testimony to the Group’s commitment to the progress of the UAE. “We are proud to see another great retail addition to our growing circle of iconic stores which is a testimony to the fact that the LuLu Group has continued to expand and invest in the UAE’s future even through the challenging pandemic months”.

It will be our continuous commitment to offer high-quality products at the most affordable prices in the market”, he added.
