Abu Dhabi-based retailer Lulu Group has further expanded its presence in the eastern region of the UAE by opening its latest hypermarket in the garden city of Al Ain.

The 128th hypermarket was inaugurated by Sultan bin Rashid Al Dhaheri, chairman of Hili Mall in the presence of Eng. Saeed Sultan Al Dhaheri, CEO of Hili Mall, Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajri and other dignitaries. Yusuffali MA, chairman of Lulu Group; Saifee Rupawala, CEO; Ashraf Ali MA, executive director; Salim MA, director Lulu; and other top officials were also present on the occasion.

Located in Al Ain’s Hili Mall, the 70,000 sqft hypermarket is offering the entire line of groceries, home appliances, electronics, IT products, stationery, sports and services ancillary to the business of hypermarket. Moreover, this expansive retail facility’s key component will primarily be on fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and seafood, all offered under one roof.

“Lulu Hypermarket will certainly enhance the shopping experience of Hili Mall’s customers with unparalleled quality in terms of products and services. With Lulu’s range of attractive products and competitive prices, the new hypermarket is expected to drive a large segment of Al Ain population including citizens and residents to the Mall, especially from the Hili district and its neighbourhood,” says Yusuffali.

“It has been our policy to bring world-class shopping experience closer to the people in the outskirts rather than making them drive long distance to bigger cities. Our presence in Hili Mall demonstrates our commitment to be having a presence in all major retail landmarks across the UAE. Due to its distinguished location within Al Ain, Hili Mall offers an additional advantage to Lulu Hypermarket,” he adds.

“Lulu Group is a leading entity within the global retail industry and it will be an important component of Hili Mall. We are delighted to welcome Lulu and confident that the new hypermarket alongside other internationally-acclaimed retail groups will be a focal destination which will be attracting more visitors to the mall. In turn this will pave the way for more collaborations to bring-in other leading brands, with the goal of raising the footfall at Hili Mall and fulfilling its duty of providing all products under one roof,” says Eng. Saeed Sultan Al Dhaheri.
