UAE’s Majid Al Futtaim Leisure, Entertainment, and Cinemas have been announced as the new distribution partner for Warner Bros. Pictures in the Middle East. The agreement commenced with The Suicide Squad, which was released on August 5th in IMAX and other formats available at VOX Cinemas.
Warner Bros. Pictures Group comprises of Warner Bros. Picture, New Line Cinema, Warner Animation Group, and DC-based film production. Worldwide theatrical releases and films premiering exclusively on HBO Max are also part of the Group’s portfolio.
Majid Al Futtaim currently operates 615 screens across eight markets in the Middle East while also operating a sizeable regional film distribution business.

According to Lahoud, this licensing agreement will leverage Majid Al Futtaim’s extensive market knowledge and experience to drive long-term box-office growth.
