Majid Al Futtaim Retail recognised for digital transformation

Majid Al Futtaim, one of the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneers across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, was awarded top honours at World Retail Awards in the category of “Retail Transformation and Reinvention.”

The award was presented to Majid Al Futtaim Retail that operates the Carrefour franchise in 37 countries. This distinction comes off the back of a radical digital drive that has seen the company introduce several innovative concepts over the past two years – including its scan&go solution, online stores in multiple markets and the world’s first sail-thru supermarket.

“This award would not have been possible without the outstanding work ethic and passion of our colleagues across the company. To have our efforts recognized by the international retail industry at the World Retail Congress is as much an honour as it is humbling. This will serve as further motivation as we continue to create great moments for everyone everyday,” said Hani Weiss, CEO, Majid Al Futtaim Retail.
