The Mall of Qatar that’s scheduled to open by 2015-end, has revealed plans for a new family entertainment centre, which will include the world’s largest Imax cinema screen and the world’s first indoor Angry Birds theme park.
The Imax cinema with over 3,000 seats will anchor the new shopping centre. It will introduce new ground-breaking 3D laser technology. That’s not all. Mall of Qatar has also revealed a partnership with video game developer Rovio, the company behind the highly successful Angry Birds franchise, to create the world’s first indoor Angry Birds Activity Park.
The new centre will be constructed on multiple levels and includes six exclusive VIP screens, bowling lanes and a host of new and unique in-theatre dining options. With over five million sqft of built up area, the completed mall will also be home to 500 retail and 80 F&B outlets. There will also be a five star fashion hotel featuring 210 rooms – part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.
