With technology usage becoming more and more sophisticated in the food service space, the new McDonald’s restaurant in Al Ain will feature digital menus and self-ordering kiosks.
The two-storey 2,787 sqft standalone restaurant is among the five new outlets scheduled to open in the UAE this summer, in addition to three new ones that opened during Ramadan, bringing the total number in the country to 148.
According to Rafic Fakih, managing director and partner at McDonald’s UAE, the digital self-ordering kiosks at McDonald’s will give customers the opportunity to customise their orders individually and order through the self-service touchscreens making the process more interesting.
“We look forward to more upcoming store openings in the near future, particularly to further implement the digital menus and self-ordering kiosks,” he adds.
In the days to come several McDonald’s restaurants are scheduled to open in Abu Dhabi Marina Mall, Adnoc stations in Mushrif area and Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Street as well as Dubai International Retail Centre in Dubai International City.
