Dubai-based developer Meraas has partnered with The National Programme for Happiness and Positivity to host a Happiness Carnival at City Walk that will mark the commencement of this year’s Happiness Journey, while celebrating the Year of Zayed.
The second edition of the Happiness Journey invites residents and visitors to celebrate the values of optimism, compassion, wisdom, mindfulness and kindness, and is expected to attract over 2,000 participants in a true reflection of the harmonious and multicultural society in the UAE.
The Happiness Carnival will take place on March 15 from 5-8pm at Al Mustaqbal Street in City Walk and will feature traditional Emirati, Indian and Chinese dances. Marching bands, stilt walkers, bubble performers, African drummers, puppeteers and hula hoop dancers will also help create a carnival atmosphere, while student delegations will also join the event.
The Dubai Police Cavalry will make a special appearance, while onlookers will be able to witness a stunt performed by the team at Skydive Dubai.
The Happiness Journey is an annual event that is part of a broader strategy that aims to establish the UAE as a leader in promoting happiness and well-being.
