British retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) has launched its new concept store at Manar Mall, Ras Al Khaimah. The 168,000 sqft store has an avant-garde store appearance with pleasant interiors, inviting display windows with wood panels and lighting schemes to attract customers. M&S has also reviewed its entire beauty offer and has repackaged and improved all of its existing own brand products.

The various sub-brands in the store are differentiated through unique branding, visual merchandising and signage. Each sub-brand has been given its own unique family of mannequins & settings designed to reflect the brand’s feel and personality. For example, Per Una highlights the feminine and vibrant look with white-washed wooden wardrobes and chandeliers while Indigo Collection is all about a coordinated casual ethnic look with trestle tables and denim mannequins. Within M&S Menswear range, Autograph reflects the smart casual attire whilst Blue Harbour represents a strong outdoor and yachting theme.

“The new store aims to offer an international Marks & Spencer brand shopping experience for Ras Al Khaimah shoppers. The overwhelming response of our customers to the new M&S concept store designs across the region has encouraged us to continue our expansion drive. Middle East is a key strategic market for us and with the opening of this store we now have 22 stores across the region which will rise to 26 by year-end,” says John Cooper, managing director at Marks & Spencer, Al-Futtaim.
