Nespresso, an operating unit of the UK-based Nestlé Group, recently opened a boutique at Red Sea Mall in Saudi Arabia. The boutique is the second in the coastal city and began operating shortly prior to the opening of a second branch in Riyadh, bringing the total number of Nespresso boutiques in the Kingdom up to five since the launch of the first outlet on Jeddah’s Tahlia Street in January 2012.
“We launched this boutique to answer the growing demand of our customers, and it’s going very well,” says Julien Mario, business development manager for Nespresso Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.
According to Rafat Al Azzeh, general manager of Al-Soukya, the exclusive distributor of Nespresso in the Kingdom, the company has been doubling its business in Saudi Arabia year-after-year since 2005. “The enormous growth Nespresso Saudi Arabia is experiencing is not just an indication about how good they are, but rather shows how the market is responding as well as the potential the Saudi market has,” he adds.
“Apart from increasing sales outlets, we have also customised our website two month ago to ensure that that orders made by customers from all over the country are delivered free of charge between 24 and 48 hours,” observes Mario.
