Boston-based New Balance Athletics, Inc. announced the release of the 574 Sport alongside the opening of its store at The Dubai Mall. Located in front of the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, the new store boasts prime spot in showcasing the coming season’s offering inclusive of the renowned favourite since the late 1980’s, the 574 Sport.
The 574 Sport is a contemporary take on the iconic, off road running silhouette for today’s modern, style-conscious consumer. Designed to bridge the gap between performance and lifestyle, the 574 Sport combines New Balance’s widely recognised running style and its modern cushioning technology for a fresh, sleek silhouette.
New Balance has re-envisioned the 574 Sport’s sole unit to feature Fresh Foam cushioning and an Abzorb crash pad, offering wearers a new level of comfort. The non-traditional tongue and bootie construction provide slip-on appeal, while the premium suede and mesh upper further elevate the design. The 574’s lightweight, solid rubber outsole has been modernised with a rugged design appropriate for a range of terrains.
With limited pairs of Tier 1 being available and already having sold out, sneaker heads can now get their hands on Tier 2 of the 574 Sport. The premium suede model features a heathered stretch mesh upper, leather N logo and heel tab and a stitched-down toe box available in natural earth colourways, including deep sea blue, desert beige and mountain olive for men and sand, stone gray and wildflower for women. Further, comprising the most athletic look and feel in the range, Tier 3 is dynamic in style featuring a mesh upper alongside welded N logo and toe box construction in a streamlined silhouette.
“The 574 Sport marks the next chapter in our sports-style category” says Shinichi Kubota, vice-president of lifestyle and enduring purpose at New Balance. “Our design team has re-interpreted one of New Balance’s best-selling shoes, while elevating key elements of the original DNA. The 574 Sport exemplifies our brand’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and new technologies, as we focus on designing future classics for the modern-day wearer.”
