New e-commerce platform for the youth launches in the UAE

The Lumière Co, a new e-commerce platform, has launched to offer young and young-at-heart clients a wide range of contemporary must-haves to choose from and gift, adding light to everyday moments.

Initially kickstarted as a means to help local tailors sustain their income during the COVID-19 lockdown, The Lumière Co has evolved in response to a sheer demand for lifestyle essentials, made of the finest materials, for men and women. Products which range from aprons, candles, cushions, greeting cards, masks, and towels are sourced and created with love and can be personalised to make each item truly unique.

“Growing up in the UAE, I noticed there was a gap in the market when it came to having one-stop-shop gifting solutions with an extra personal touch. Inspired by a few global online marketplaces, I wanted to create something that offers a similar multitude of products but using the most luxurious fabrics and materials. Each item on our website has been specially designed in partnership with small businesses in the UAE as well as India, in the hopes of adding a little light into the lives of our customers and the SME retail community”, said Arshia Shroff, Founder of The Lumière Co.

“Most of our products have the option of customization, which I truly believe gives a personal touch and makes the item so much more unique. I cannot wait for customers to experience everything that The Lumière Co has to offer, and I hope they enjoy the products as much as I have enjoyed curating them”, she added.

The brand has also launched products to support different causes that are important to the ethos of The Lumière Co. The majority of products are made locally, in the UAE in small, made-to-order batches to avoid wastage. The “Be Kind to Your Mind” t-shirts have been made in collaboration with a global non-profit supporting mental health awareness to whom a percentage of the profits will be donated. Additionally, a percentage of profits from the ‘Save the Earth’ t-shirt range will go to organizations supporting sustainability and establishing positive impact.

The Lumière Co is an off-shoot brand of The Regal Group, one of the region’s most successful textile companies which has been present in the UAE since 1952. The fun and relatable brand adds a touch of modernity to the Group’s traditional textile empire and helps to diversify its offering and adapt to increased online retail consumerism in the country and region.
