A new UAE e-commerce platform, Flip19.com, goes live in Dubai. The site offers a range of merchandise, including home & housewares and childcare products. It also stocks stationery, gadgets and toys.

“Our mission is to introduce people in the UAE to a range of products and brands from around the world, which either they hadn’t heard of or couldn’t have come across easily,” says Mariya Khilawala, founder of Flip19.com.

“We are passionate about innovation that makes daily life easier, which is why our brand is about ‘ideas worth sharing’. As a family-run business, it is also important for us to only bring in products that we would feel safe introducing into our own homes,” adds Khilawala.

Flip19.com is currently home to brands like THAT! Kitchenware combines aesthetics with functionality to bring customers every day kitchen solution. Products in this line include the Thaw THAT! and Scoop THAT! range.

The e-retailer also sells a wide range of products targeted to children, from Marcus & Marcus that makes everyday tasks with children makes more engaging and Pixio magnetic construction blocks.

“We want to feed into people’s natural trait of curiosity with every product and purchase. The Magnetic Notes are a favourite of ours to catch people’s reactions as the notes use static charge to hold onto almost any surface, from windows to walls and doors to fridges. This is the heart of our platform – to create a sense of wonder,” Khilawala elaborates.
