Ocado introduces tool to import online shopping lists

June 3, 2013 | By RetailME Bureau

UK-based online grocery retailer Ocado Group has launched a new tool on its website which allows a anyone shopping online with other UK retailers such as Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose to import their ‘favourites’ list to ocado.com with a quick click.

The new feature allows online shoppers to transport their data to ocado.com/favourites so their preferred products will instantly appear in their ‘favourites’ tab and can be easily added to baskets. The feature will also work for customers wanting to export their ‘favourites’ list from Ocado.

“We are giving shoppers more choice and more freedom, ruling out the need to start from scratch when doing their weekly shop. We know online shoppers want to try Ocado, but feel trapped as their favourites are stored with their current supermarket. With this initiative we are giving the power back to the customer,” says Jason Gissing, co-founder, Ocado.
