America’s Famous Dave’s has finally marked its presence in the UAE at the Abu Dhabi Mall through collaboration with the Abu Dhabi-based Tablez Food Company, the food and beverage division of the retail conglomerate Lulu International Group.

Famous Dave’s grand opening at the Abu Dhabi Mall will be attended by several dignitaries including Barbara A Leaf, US ambassador to the UAE; TP Seetharam, Indian ambassador to the UAE; Famous Dave’s founder Dave Anderson; Lulu Group International chairman & managing director Yusuffali MA; and Tablez Food Company CEO Shafeena Yusuffali, among several others.

While speaking with RetailME last year during the collaboration announcement, Adam Wright, Famous Dave’s interim CEO had said, “We saw a synergy with the Tablez Food Company that’s important for us because we share similar values about serving food of very high quality and ensuring the highest possible hospitality services for our guests. We strongly believe in the potential of this nascent partnership.”

“The people at Tablez Food Company want to bring the best culinary experiences in the world to the region. They are passionate about it. They are hardworking and sophisticated and we definitely believe they are the best choice to introduce our brand to the UAE and GCC. In turn, Famous Dave’s will definitely add a decided edge to their already strong portfolio of restaurants.”

Shafeena was in agreement. “Our vision from the time of our launch has been to become a leading player in the F&B retail sector by bringing world-class brands to the region. And Famous Dave’s is bound to stand out among the plethora of other dining options, solely for its authenticity, innovation and customised world-class BBQ offering.”

“We’ve added several restaurants to our portfolio over the years, creating a vibrant mix of our own concepts – such as Peppermill, a colonial Indian restaurant, and Bloomsbury’s Boutique Café & Artisan Bakery, an English tea house concept – while also introducing concepts from abroad like Galito’s, the South African flame grilled chicken brand, and now Famous Dave’s, our first and only premium barbecue concept.”

Famous Dave’s is also scheduled to open at Riverland™ Dubai, the gateway to Dubai Parks and Resorts, one of UAE’s largest integrated theme park destinations that’s underway, and at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi.
