Pizza Hut celebrates its 11,000th international restaurant opening alongside its franchise partner Americana, in Dubai.

Pizza Hut’s new ‘Fast Casual Delivery’ (FCD) restaurant, located at the Dubai Creek Harbour, will offer dine-in, carryout and delivery to the city’s pizza fans.

“As the world’s favourite pizza, our focus is on delivering the fastest pizza experience to our customers,” says Vipul Chawla, president Pizza Hut International. “We have a great partner in Americana bringing this vision to life in UAE with the opening of the 11,000th international Pizza Hut at a landmark location.”

“We are privileged to be part of this momentous occasion. Pizza Hut is an undisputed leader in its category in both the UAE and the Middle East region,” says Amarpal Sandhu, chief operating officer – restaurants, Americana. “We have come a long way since the first restaurant opening in Abu Dhabi 30 years ago and what better way to celebrate than with a milestone 11,000th opening in the dynamic city of Dubai!”

Americana is one of the largest and most successful groups in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA), with capabilities spanning manufacturing, distribution and restaurant operations. A regional pioneer, Americana, introduced the concept of Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs) to the region back in the ’60s. Today, Americana operates 1,900 restaurants, with over 40,000 employees, in 13 markets across MENA and beyond. There are 112 Pizza Hut restaurants in the UAE alone.

Pizza Hut, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM), has more restaurant locations in the world than any other pizza company. Founded in 1958 in Wichita, Kan., Pizza Hut operates over 18,000 restaurants in more than 110 countries.
