Polish footwear brand to enter GCC in partnership with Apparel Group

January 24, 2018 | By Rupkatha B

Polish footwear brand CCC is present in around 20 countries with almost 1,000 stores and a strong online presence – in 2017 15% of the brand’s revenues came from the online channel, which is expected to go up to 25% in 2019. And CCC is all set to foray into the GCC, in partnership with the Apparel Group, during the first quarter of 2019.

In an exclusive interview with Rupkatha Bhowmick, CCC Group chairman & president Dariusz Miłek shares the brand’s success over the years growing by 32% in sales last year – expecting even better growth in 2018 – and the future roadmap that includes opening 100 stores across the GCC over the next 10 years

The initial plan involves opening stores – the exact locations are not yet decided – across the GCC, while the brand will also be available on Apparel Group’s e-commerce site 6th Street.

Commenting on the announcement, Miłek explains, “As a public listed company, we have certain obligations when signing important franchise contracts and building partnerships. In addition, this kind of advance planning helps us to interact with the local communities to understand their expectations when a new brand enters the market, especially a rather crowded footwear market. Importantly, it will also help Apparel Group and us to speak to the landlords and scout for and sign up the right locations for the brand launch.”
