Spinneys revamps its first flagship store marking the start of its new store experience in the UAE

UAE-based Spinneys has re-opened the doors of its renovated King Faisal Road store in Sharjah, marking the beginning of a national rollout of its new store experience across the UAE. The branch, which was the first flagship store to open in the emirate in 1969, introduces Spinneys’ new-look Arabesque-inspired interiors and café concept.

The 22,000 sq ft store offers a convenient, high quality shopping experience that reflects the company’s mantra of ‘Eat Well, Live Well’. Committed to the health and wellbeing of its customers and the environment, the new store features more fresh food counters and a broader range of high-quality produce. Dedicated to sourcing locally wherever possible, shoppers can also stock up on a variety of fresh local produce including handpicked fruit, vegetables and seafood.

A key feature of the new store design is the counter-service café concept, Spinneys Kitchen Café – with its contemporary, vibrant design aesthetic. Only the second to launch in the UAE, customers can grab a coffee and a croissant, or sit and enjoy the specially curated menu including favourites such as Avocado Toast or Arabic mezze platter in the comfy seating space.

Supporting the community lies at the core of the company’s values and, as one of the country’s leading supermarket brands, Spinneys is always looking for ways to add more value to its offering.

“The reopening of the King Faisal Road Store emphasises Spinneys’ commitment to always innovating and offering our customers the very best products and experience. We want to thank them for their ongoing support – as we remain dedicated to providing outstanding customer service at all times. We look forward to welcoming some familiar and new faces at the store,” said Spinneys’ CEO Sunil Kumar, who worked in the Sharjah branch as an Assistant Store Manager.

Having recently celebrated its 60th anniversary in the UAE, the enhanced Spinneys experience is part of the retailer’s vision to always innovate and remain ahead of industry trends and customer needs. Spinneys operates 65 stores across the UAE, all of which differ in their product range and core customer base.
