Ripe Market to be back in Abu Dhabi

In partnership with Umm Al Emarat Park, UAE’s home-grown outdoor concept Ripe Market will be back in Abu Dhabi. The Market season will start on October 20 and will run every Saturday until April 2019. The Ripe Market will be taking place on the Great Lawn and Central Promenade.

Every Saturday, from 3-9pm, Umm Al Emarat Park will transform into a magical world of lights, alfresco eating and live music, perfect for a family dinner, a relaxed evening with friends or a post work wander. It will be a community meeting place supporting SME businesses, for residents and tourists alike.

“At Ripe we are constantly evolving the markets we provide to ensure we cater for the community. The Ripe Market is a great way to spend your Saturday evening, enjoy dinner under the stars with friends and family and stock up on organic fruit and veggies for the week ahead or even join a local community group,” says Becky Balderstone, founder of Ripe.

Set amongst the beautiful palm tree walk ways, the Ripe Market at Umm Al Emarat Park will bring the community together to experience a wide variety of talented local food concepts, local fashion designers, arts and crafts and bespoke jewellery. This year will be even bigger as the Ripe Market closely partners with Umm Al Emarat to bring more community focused activities for the entire family to enjoy.

“We are delighted at the return of the popular Ripe Market to Umm Al Emarat Park for a fourth season. This year the market is offering a larger selection of crafts and activities for children of different ages, in addition to a well-curated line-up of local vendors and small traders, selling a myriad of products, from organic fresh produce to home accessories and jewellery. We hope to see many families return for the first market of the season on 20th October and enjoy a great day outdoors,” adds Umm Al Emarat Park manager, Medhat Elsisi.

This season Ripe has some exciting new partners on board, such as Careem that will be providing a discount on any rides to and from the market.
