Sheraa’s Seed programme to support early-stage start-ups

April 29, 2019 | By RetailME Bureau

Committed to supporting entrepreneurial business innovation, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) has officially activated its Seed programme for early-stage start-ups, with proven traction. Sheraa will be awarding a total grant pool of up to $300,000 to help turn their ideas into a significant and sustainable model.

Launched in January 2016, Sheraa is a platform that supports entrepreneurs. From strategically transforming ideas into reality, to effectively nurturing established businesses, to promoting networking opportunities with investors and stakeholders – it cultivates change-makers and builds a thriving entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The recent intensive programme launched by Sheraa offers start-ups a customised action plan with everything they need to hit the next milestone on their journey, as well as, a designated business and leadership coach to support and guide with the execution of the devised plan.

Entrepreneurs will be trained to create and activate their product-market fit roadmap (PMF Roadmap), revise and activate market strategy, implement a “post-traction pre-PMF” product iteration, run their post-traction product launch campaign and activate their investor relations and seed fundraising strategy. In addition, Sheraa will also connect the start-ups with investment partners.

The Seed programme has welcomed emerging and established entrepreneurs, based both within and outside the UAE, looking to gain access to the UAE and the MENA region.
