Contemporary fusion-cuisine eatery SIKKA Café has opened the doors of its second restaurant in Dubai at La Mer, Meraas’ beach-front destination located in the upscale neighbourhood of Jumeirah.

Following its launch in City Walk, SIKKA Café, whose name in Arabic translates into alleys or pathways, offers a creatively designed ambience that seamlessly blends the flavours of Emirati, Persian and Indian cuisines.

With its rich cultural vibe and breath-taking views of the Arabian Gulf, the restaurant takes visitors on a trip down memory lane as they enjoy its varied fare and alfresco dining experience.

Seating indoor 48 / outdoor 98, the interiors of the multi-cuisine eatery have been meticulously designed to reflect the distinct character of each of its cultures. The restaurant combines vintage antiques with contemporary décor elements in a kaleidoscope of welcoming colours.

Interspersing flavours the Emiratis have enjoyed for years, SIKKA Café offers new interpretations of wholesome traditional cuisines. Some of the mouth-watering authentic dishes on offer include lamb machbous, Persian kebab, onion pakora, butter chicken and seafood delicacies and Persian BBQ Royal platter.

For dessert, diners can choose from baked labneh cheesecake with date jam, Emirati chebab and ferni, a clay-pot baked rice pudding with saffron and rose petal cream. The restaurant also boasts an eclectic drinks menu, serving a choice of traditional coffee and tea, as well as specialty concoctions such as karak frappé with caramel or date syrup and a selection of healthy mocktails.
