Superbrands has recognised the Apparel Group for its ‘distinguished services to retail branding’ at the 14th annual Superbrands tribute event, held recently at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City. Neeraj Tekchandani, group CFO of Apparel Group, received the special recognition.

A total of 59 brands from the UAE received the Superbrands status, along with the unveiling of 2018 Superbrands book at the event.

“We are pleased to recognise the Apparel Group for its outstanding commitment and achievements to great customer service and experiences in the retail space. In an era of virtually limitless choice, the sustained competitive advantage only comes to retailers who engage customers differently. The Apparel Group through its more than 1,750 stores, 75-plus brands and over a 12,000 strong multicultural team across four continents has built a profitable, competitive and sustainable business through its people, continuous innovation and excellence by providing quality services and products to its customers and community,” says Mike English, director, Superbrands Middle East.

With over 2,000 leading brands in the UAE vying for the Superbrands title, only 59 scored more than 80% of the total possible mark and were declared Superbrands by the Brand Council. Winning this accolade is a powerful endorsement and evidence for existing customers, potential customers, the media, suppliers, investors and employees of each brand’s exceptional status.
