Local supermarket chain Spinneys has launched its online grocery delivery service in Dubai, expanding its offering and providing customers an easy, convenient way to shop.

The new e-commerce offering is a direct response to consumers’ changing preferences to shop for groceries online. However, Spinneys anticipates demand for online grocery will continue to gather pace, and it is committed to delivering the best omnichannel customer experience.

“Demand for home grocery deliveries has never been higher. Launched amidst the economic challenges caused by COVID-19, our new service will offer our customers an efficient, convenient and safe way to shop for their groceries. Stepping into the world of e-commerce strengthens our ability to further support our communities and continue to provide our customers with the best possible products in the best possible way,” said Sunil Kumar, CEO, Spinneys.

Customers can create an account on Spinneys.com and browse from thousands of products to add to their shopping cart before proceeding to checkout. The minimum order spend is AED100 and orders over AED350 are free of a delivery charge. For those below AED350, there is a flat-rate fee of AED15 per delivery. At present, the service is available for Spinneys customers in Dubai only, but will be expanded to Abu Dhabi soon. There will also be an App available for download in the coming weeks.

“We’re constantly looking for new and better ways to support our customers. Having built a strong name for offering a great assortment of safe, fresh and quality products, we want to extend this to our customers’ doorsteps. Our new service will maintain our highest food standards, while making our customers’ food shopping experience as easy and enjoyable as possible,” Kumar added.
