Starbucks announced the launch of the straw-less lid across all its markets in the MENA region. Through this campaign, Starbucks is demonstrating its support for the phasing out plastic straws worldwide.
The newly launched straw-less lid is recyclable and is the new standard for iced beverages in Starbucks stores across MENA. Starbucks has developed and trialed several prototypes of the lightweight recyclable straw-less lids in select markets around the world before arriving at this milestone and rolling it out in the region. It will continue to shift away from single-use packaging and plastics as part of its resource positive commitment announced earlier this year.
