Superdrug announces major expansion plans

UK-based health and beauty retailer Superdrug plans to open 100 new UK stores over the next three years, bringing its estate to around 900, creating 1,350 new jobs.

The upcoming shops will feature elements of two new store formats launched last year. Depending on the location of each shop, some units will include Superdrug’s ‘Beauty Studio’ concept and some its ‘Health & Wellbeing’ concept.

“The stores will come up at new locations across the country,” reveals Nigel Duxbury, property director of Superdrug’s owners AS Watson. “While our online offer continues to grow, our high street presence is still of huge importance and we are looking forward to growing the portfolio.”
