Saudi Arabia-based retail conglomerate Tamer Group has formed a joint venture agreement with Jollychic, a global online retail platform based in China. The objective of this partnership is to meet the demand of today’s digital consumers by adding more choice to the e-commerce market in the Kingdom.

The newly formed venture supports the development initiatives and programmes undertaken by the Saudi government to enable the growth of e-commerce and digital transformation businesses, which is one of the strategic objectives of the National Transformation Programme in line with the goals of Vision 2030. Furthermore, the launch of the new platform will provide employment opportunities for Saudi professionals specialised in the e-commerce, artificial intelligence (AI) and technology sectors.

The partnership between Tamer Group and Jollychic aims to combine Tamer Group’s long experience and knowledge of the local market, with Jollychic’s expertise in the field of e-commerce. Tamer Group chose to partner with Jollychic for its advanced e-commerce infrastructure model and expertise in AI and big data management.

The joint venture between the two parties will support electronic exchanges between companies to ensure more significant opportunities in sales and distribution using the e-commerce platform.
