Third edition of MENALAC conference kicks off

The Middle East & North Africa Leisure and Attraction Council (MENALAC) – the not for profit trade association for the Middle East and North African leisure market – is holding the third edition of the MENALAC Conference 2019. It is being held in conjunction with the DEAL trade show in Dubai. Bill Ernest, CEO, Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) delivered the keynote at the conference.

The first day of the conference, which is today, is focused on the status of the MENA leisure industry, while safety for family entertainment centres (FECs), theme parks, waterparks and play areas will be discussed on the second day tomorrow.

“We are delighted to host the top industry leaders at the conference and gain from their wealth of industry experience. We see a great learning from Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) CEO, Bill Earnests’ keynote and his viewpoints on the future potential of our industry and within the MENA landscape was very well reciprocated by the attendees,” said Prakash Vivekanand, secretary general, MENALAC. “Our conference is an ideal platform to meet, learn and interact with leisure industry experts and gain valuable insights on the best processes being adopted by the industry leaders. It goes beyond doubt that it is definitely a conference by the industry for the industry.”

“MENALAC aims to further strengthen the leisure and amusement industry in the region and promote safety standards for amusement operations. In addition, it will concentrate on bringing forward industry forums, seminars and educational programmes aimed at further upgrading the quality of amusement operations across the region,” he added.
