During the Holy Month of Ramadan, Dubai-based developer Meraas is organising pop-up libraries at its properties City Walk, Boxpark and Al Seef, where it will hold special Hakawati storytelling sessions. To be held on weekends, this is part of the ‘Gift a Smile’ initiative.

The campaign invites communities to help spread happiness and hope during the Holy Month of Ramadan by donating books, toys and clothes in support of the work of humanitarian charity, Beit Al Khair Society, and is endorsed by the National Programme for Happiness and Positivity.

Contributions can be dropped off at City Walk, The Beach, Boxpark, The Outlet Village, Al Seef, La Mer, Last Exit Al Khawaneej and The Yard. Beit Al Khair Society is also collecting monetary donations, with proceeds being used to provide Iftar packages to those in need.

‘Smile’ photo booths at The Beach, The Outlet Village, La Mer, Last Exit Al Khawaneej and The Yard, will also help capture heartfelt and happy messages from those who wish to inspire and motivate others during Ramadan.
