Sharjah-based shopping mall Sahara Centre hosted an iftar for orphans of the Emirates Red Crescent. Sahara Centre brought around 25 orphans together for a meal to share the blessings of Ramadan.

The children enjoyed a delicious iftar meal at Turkish Tike Restaurant, while Matalan offered Eid clothes as gifts to them. After their meal, they were whisked to a land of entertainment at Adventureland.

“On the occasion of ‘Zayed Humanitarian Day’, 19th Ramadan, it is our duty to give back to those in need and we are proud to continue our partnership with Emirates Red Crescent in improving lives across the UAE. This occasion is aligned with Sahara Centre’s mission to care for the underprivileged individuals in our community by offering them a beacon of hope during this holy month,” says Akram Ammar, managing director, Sahara Centre

“Sahara Centre is one of our key partners and we are grateful for their generous hospitality during this holy month of giving. The orphans enjoyed a wonderful iftar in a lively atmosphere of games and joy that reminded them of the kindness and selflessness instilled in all of us. Thanks to Sahara Centre for their continued support and for the gifts that they graciously granted to the orphans,” adds Mohammad Al Zarouni, director of Emirates Red Crescent.

This campaign is a continuation of Sahara Centre’s work with Emirates Red Crescent and is in-line with the ‘Year of Zayed’ initiatives that aim at celebrating the virtue of giving and creating a spirit of philanthropy among the residents of the UAE.
