A key community-centered destination in Dubai, Times Square Center is actively championing sustainability, contributing to a healthier planet for the benefit of future generations. This is showcased by its recent launch of a new space within the mall “The Picnic Square” which was awarded a LEED Green Project certification. The global green building certification program recognizes, and awards projects being designed and maintained with the highest degree of energy efficiency.

Recognized for being designed and maintained in an energy-conserving manner, the project features unique machinery to collect organic waste from mall tenants which is then recycled into plant food and hydration. Located on the first floor of Times Square Center, Picnic Square features welcoming open spaces, clean lines, comfortable furniture, natural materials, the integration of biophilic elements such as plants and greenery, and a variety of high-quality seating options and areas, making it the perfect versatile space to host parties, meet with friends, throw networking events, and attend pop-ups and exhibitions.

The square features a range of food delights including Noon o Kabab with the rich flavours of Iran, Baby Eats, catering to the nutritional needs of growing babies, Cultures, a specialty Continental and Japanese restaurant and for those with a sweet tooth, Sweet Spot Pastry is offering a wide selection of cakes with diverse and harmonious flavours, carefully curated to delight the taste buds. Restaurants set to launch in 2024 include the likes of Al Tabliyah Restaurant, Mama Italia, Taco Taco, and Bangkok City.

“With sustainability at the centre, Picnic Square is a stylish, yet family friendly space where guests can relax, catch up with friends or attend one of the many events hosted by Times Square Center. This is what sets us apart from the other venues. Our tireless efforts and passion have helped us create an atmosphere that radiates warmth, offers unique food stores, and provides the community a platform to spend quality time in a relaxed, family-friendly destination, that also gives back to the community and helps positively impact our environment,” said Nancy Ozbek, General Manager of Times Square Center.

Driven by a passionate team, Times Square Center is dedicated to driving positive change within the community by providing fun, educational and valuable experiences and concepts that genuinely create a difference, including weekly markets, educational workshops and events, and access to a selection of well-known and respected international and boutique brands. The mall is also known for providing everything from supermarkets, toy stores, and fitness centres, to established restaurants, and cafés. Today, the venue is known for fostering relationships, supporting growth, and education, and preserving the planet through its many initiatives and workshops held throughout the year.
