Dubai-based furniture retailer Marina Home Interiors has launched British furniture and interiors brand Timothy Oulton’s latest gallery at its showrooms in the Abu Dhabi Mall and Barsha, Dubai.

Timothy Oulton’s latest gallery brings the romance of past eras and British heritage alive with a bold, modern energy in the storied collections of furniture, lighting and home accessories. The 2,200 sqft Timothy Oulton Gallery within Marina Home in Abu Dhabi is a feast for the senses, showcasing the company’s signature relaxed yet sophisticated aesthetic in the centre-patio stage packed with drama and intrigue.

The space is also replete with distinctive hallmarks of the Timothy Oulton philosophy, with a bold nod to every major influence of Oulton’s approach to design. A selection of antiques from Rare by Oulton, procured and curated by Oulton, speaks of his early days and ongoing involvement in the antiques trade, and includes a range of rare and irreverent pieces.

Commenting on the opening, Oulton says, “Abu Dhabi has been on our radar for a while so we’re really looking forward to bringing our most iconic pieces to the capital of the UAE. What we offer is very unique and Marina Home is the perfect place to showcase our collections. We both see furniture as more than just great design, but as a way to create an experience that touches people.”

Meticulous handcraftsmanship pervades Timothy Oulton collections, utilising time-honoured techniques such as hand carving, traditional joinery and hand tufting. Pure materials are sourced from across the globe, from century-old timber reclaimed from English mills and distilleries to aniline leather hides from South America.

The latest Timothy Oulton collection includes the pioneering use of rock crystal. The rock crystal is the colourless, purest and rarest form of quartz, sourced from the Earth’s crust. Every piece of rock crystal in the collection has been selected, cut and polished using simple tools and the touch of the craftsmen hand.
