Titan goes big in Sharjah

Tanishq, Titan Watches, and Titan Eye+ come together for the first time in a global-first concept store

In a pioneering move that redefines lifestyle retail, Titan Company, part of the TATA Group, has launched its first-ever international multi-brand lifestyle destination store in the heart of Sharjah, UAE. Located in Al Dana Tower, Rolla Square, the 7,000 sq. ft., two-storey store brings together Tanishq, Titan Watches, and Titan Eye+—three of the most iconic Indian brands—under one roof for the first time anywhere in the world.

While the UAE has long been a vibrant retail hub, Titan’s choice of Sharjah—and specifically Rolla—was deliberate and deeply rooted in community insight. “If you go even more local, it’s Rolla really that was the essence,” said Kuruvilla Markose, CEO of International Business at Titan Company. “Rolla has always been a centre point for the Malayali, Keralite and Indian communities. If you’re in Sharjah, you need to be in Rolla—and that’s why the jewellery market is here.”

The new retail concept is designed not just to sell products but to offer an immersive, seamless lifestyle experience, where customers can explore exquisite jewellery, design-led watches, and high-quality eyewear all in one space. “We found a great property with strong visibility—7,000 square feet—and felt we could bring all our businesses together here. That’s how this store came to be,” Kuruvilla added.

While Titan has tried multi-brand formats in India, such as combining watches and eyewear, this is a first-of-its-kind global experiment. “In India, we’re structured as different businesses. But internationally, we view them holistically. This is the first time we’re bringing all three brands together. If this works—and we’re certain it will—it could be a model for the future,” Kuruvilla explained.

The launch is also timed with exclusive promotions across all three categories. Tanishq is offering complimentary gold coins with purchases, Titan Watches is running a ‘Half-Back’ offer on a second timepiece, and Titan Eye+ is giving customers a flat 25% off on eyewear.

The store’s design encourages customers to linger, browse, and cross-shop across categories. “The idea is when people are here, they have options,” said Kuruvilla. “Let’s say the men aren’t interested in jewellery—they can check out watches or sunglasses. We have the Raga line for women, and the Edge collection for both men and women—pieces you won’t find with any other brand.”

The eyewear zone, through Titan Eye+, has been strategically placed to complete the lifestyle experience. “If you wear glasses or need your eyes tested, Titan Eye+ offers the best testing experience,” Kuruvilla said confidently.

Every product line has been carefully curated to suit the local catchment, blending Indian craftsmanship with regional preferences. “Each store is tailored to the community it serves. We’ve considered the kind of people who live in Rolla and fine-tuned the product mix. We will continue refining it based on customer response.”

Titan has also made sure its omnichannel presence supports the store. “We have our regional website, Tanishq.ae, where customers can book online and pick up in-store. It’s all about convenience.”

As the Sharjah store begins its journey, Titan is already gearing up for more expansion. “This Vishu, we’re opening our 12th store in the UAE—at Mankhool in the old Centrepoint building,” Kuruvilla shared. “That location will focus more on HNIs, again based on the community in that area.”

From its deep local sensitivity to its bold global ambition, Titan’s Sharjah store isn’t just a retail outlet—it’s a statement of vision, innovation, and cultural understanding. And if the Rolla experiment proves successful, it might just become the blueprint for Titan’s future in international markets.
