Triple win for DDF at CMO Asia CSR Awards, Singapore

At the 7th CMO Asia Best CSR and Sustainability Awards held in Singapore earlier this month, Dubai Duty Free (DDF) was presented with three awards including “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices”, “Best Environment Friendly Project” and “Workplace Safety and Health Performance Award”.

Hosted by the CMO Asia, a not-for-profit making body of the Marketing Professionals from across Asian countries, the 7th Asia Best CSR and Sustainability Awards is one of Asia’s leading industry events recognising organisations that have a significant and positive impact on the lives of people around them. The awards consider company’s commitment to and respect for communities, environment and the people.

Commenting on winning the awards, DDF executive vice chairman and CEO, Colm McLoughlin, says, “These awards are not only a recognition but an objective assessment of DDF’s commitment and dedication to sustainable growth. It is a clear indication of how serious we are in serving the society and integrating responsible practices into our daily business operations. Corporate social responsibility is a commitment made at all levels of the company and it is important to all of us.”

The “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices” was awarded to DDF for its commitment and excellent integration of CSR ensuring its practices are at its best, creating immeasurable difference to people lives through its diverse and effective community involvement, projects and initiatives both local and overseas.

The “Best Environment Friendly Project” was given to the operation’s two environmental projects – the Kids Enviro Club and Dubai Duty Free Environmental Tagline Competition introduced during the World Environment Day 2017. The entry emphasised DDF’s mission to deepen employee awareness on personal responsibility and commitment to adopt sustainable practices with long-term impacts towards environmental protection.

Furthermore, DDF was presented with “Workplace Safety and Health Performance Award” for its extent on health, safety procedures and practices demonstrated in a day-to-day activities including its excellent annual key performance results that reflect a strong health and safety culture within the organisation.

Since 2014 to date, DDF has won a total of eleven awards from CMO Asia.
