Global food and beverage company PepsiCo, has officially unveiled limited-edition Pepsi can designs to recognise 49 years of unity between the seven emirates and to embrace the country’s spirit and values.

Designed with an eye-catching image signified by the colours of the UAE flag and elements of its famous vistas, the commemorative can designs display the celebration of 49 years of UAE’s achievements and value. Every word embedded in the design tells a unique story honouring the different cultures, experiences and backgrounds of the many nationalities living in the UAE.

In addition, Pepsi will light up UAE’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, with an exciting and visually appealing light show, covering a total area of 33,000 square metres, dedicated to the UAE’s national colours on Tuesday, December 1st.

“We have had a long and successful journey in the UAE and are delighted to launch this campaign and the limited-edition Pepsi cans celebrating the momentous occasion. This is a moment of pride for all of us who have been part of this incredible journey, Dubai has been our home for almost five decades, and to light up the Burj Khalifa to showcase the strong spirit of togetherness that exists in the UAE is a feeling of the utmost honour”, said Aamer Sheikh, PepsiCo, GM and President, MENA and Pakistan.

Pepsi is also partnering with nefsy food app as part of its ‘Feed 49,000 families’ initiative where Pepsi will be donating 5,000 food boxes to families in need in the UAE. For a donation of AED 50, a food box containing essential items including rice, wheat, oil, sugar, salt, water and sanitiser, will be donated to families in need so they can feed up to 250,000 family members for over 10 days. With many families impacted by Covid-19, the initiative will support communities across the UAE via the Emirates Red Crescent throughout December.
