Uber Eats, the on-demand food delivery app and website, has announced a partnership with the 2019 edition of Dubai Food Festival that starts today, February 21. The sponsorship agreement was announced by Uber Eats and Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE).

This is the first year that Uber Eats is sponsoring the annual Dubai Food Festival, highlighting the brand’s commitment to bringing great food to people across the city. Dubai Food Festival is a highlight of the city’s gastronomic calendar and sees the participation from some of the world’s leading chefs and highly acclaimed restaurants across the city until March 9.

“As the region’s favourite, and fastest growing food delivery platform, we are confident of the synergy we share with Dubai Food Festival, as we both bring to people delicious dishes spanning cuisines from all over the world, says Damien Drap, general manager, Uber Eats GCC. “Customers using the app are passionate about food and Dubai Food Festival has achieved an iconic status with the remarkable quality of restaurants and chefs that are part of it. This partnership celebrates our, and Dubai’s love for food and we look forward to celebrating all the culinary delights together and bringing more joy to foodies across the UAE.”

“Technology continues to revolutionise the F&B industry in the region, with food delivery platforms such as Uber Eats providing a quick and convenient solution to busy schedules. As Dubai Food Festival continues to mirror the city’s connection with food, we are excited to partner with Uber Eats and look forward to seeing more residents of Dubai discover delicious at Dubai Food Festival this year,” adds DFRE CEO, Ahmed Al Khaja.

This year’s Dubai Food Festival promises to be more exciting than ever by introducing new concepts and bringing back the city’s favourites such as Dubai Restaurant Week. Uber Eats will also be at the popular Beach Canteen on Sunset Beach with an experiential activation for the whole family. To bring good food to more Eaters across Dubai, Uber Eats will also run a buy one get one free offer from more than 600 restaurant partners on the app across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah starting from February 28 to March 16.

Recently, Uber Eats launched in Sharjah in the UAE and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, making the app available in six cities and three countries across the region.
