VOX Cinemas screening Lebanese movie to raise funds for Lebanon

VOX Cinemas is screening Lebanese movie Yom eh Yom La2 to raise much-needed funds for Emirates Red Crescent. All proceeds from the ticket sales will help with the rebuilding efforts following the recent explosion and provide urgent relief to the thousands of people impacted.

“We were deeply saddened to see the devastating scenes in Beirut and, in solidarity with our friends and colleagues in Lebanon; we will be donating all proceeds from the screenings of Yom eh Yom La2 to Emirates Red Crescent. Lebanon needs all our help, and we encourage our guests to support this worthwhile cause, which is providing vital services and urgent relief to the thousands of people impacted,” says Cameron Mitchell, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas and Majid Al Futtaim Leisure & Entertainment.

Yom eh Yom La2 (PG13) is a Lebanese romantic comedy starring Ziad Bourji, Hichman Haddad, Pamela El Kik, Mia Saiid. 

Yom eh Yom La2 is currently being screened at VOX Cinemas in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Ajman, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. 

Owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas, VOX Cinemas is the cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure operator across the Middle East and North Africa. With over 50 locations, VOX Cinemas operates 514 screens across the region, including 201 screens in the UAE, 15 screens in Lebanon, 63 screens in Oman, 30 screens in Bahrain, 28 screens in Egypt, 71 screens in Saudi Arabia and 17 screens in Kuwait.  

Across the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt and Lebanon, the company is undergoing a $326-million investment to expand to operate 300 screens by 2020. Also, Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas will invest $517 million to develop 600 screens across Saudi Arabia by 2023.
