Wadi launches Dragon Souk in KSA

E-commerce marketplace Wadi, with presence in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, has launched its new online international store, the Dragon Souk in KSA, with plans of expanding in the UAE later this year. The newly launched global shop stocks over one million products, including accessories, electronics, beauty, fashion, toys, home & kitchen and baby care.

“We have launched Dragon Souk to offer an even wider range of products to our customers, providing them with products that are not easily found in the Middle East, as it is a new market for e-commerce compared to established ones like China, India and Europe. With our unbeatable prices, we aim to offer our consumers an escape from constantly paying a fortune for products,” says Wadi co-founder, Pratik Gupta.

Wadi has also announced plans to open another office in China. They are expanding their stance in the international marketplace by establishing physical operations across countries. Now sellers in other regions of the world can start selling to customers in the GCC seamlessly without bearing any pain for logistics.

“Statistics show that 30% of the online shopping process in the Middle East still happens from international e-commerce players like Alibaba, Amazon, eBay, but these players take 15-45++ days to deliver with high shipping fees and no option of cash on delivery. They do not provide Arabic content on their websites and don’t have sound policies. Wadi provides a unique solution to this, with our international store that provides as of today 1m+ products from international countries with 15-day delivery, with an option of cash on delivery, Arabic catalogue and low shipping fees,” Gupta adds.
