American retailer Walmart is developing about a feature that promises to make grocery shopping even more convenient. Along with grocery pick-up and delivery options, now with Walmart Voice Order, customers can use voice ordering feature to do grocery shopping.
Walmart aims to develop the new voice ordering capabilities across platforms with partners like Google. The feature will enable customers to simply say “Hey Google, talk to Walmart” and the Google Assistant will add items directly to their Walmart Grocery cart. Going forward, Walmart will also be able to accurately identify the items customers are asking for with the help of information from their prior purchases.
Since it is cross-platform, customers can use any device utilising Google Assistant. And since Assistant is now available on more than a billion devices, including Smart Displays like Google Home Hub, Android phones, iPhones, watches and more, customers can manage their shopping carts from anywhere – work, home or on the go.
